Overseas clients come to us for four things: protecting a brand or invention in India, setting up and running an Indian entity, investing in or partnering with an Indian business, and building a knowledge team in India.

Questions
Practical points
Can you file our trademark or patent in India without us travelling?
Yes. Everything is handled remotely. We need a signed power of attorney and the application details, and we keep you updated by email at every stage.
How are fees and invoices handled for overseas clients?
Fees are agreed in writing before work starts. We can invoice in Indian rupees or in a foreign currency, subject to applicable tax and foreign exchange rules.
Do you advise on US, UK or Chinese law?
No. We cover the Indian side of a matter and work alongside your advisers in other countries.
Which time zone do you work in?
India Standard Time (UTC+5:30). We overlap with mornings in the UK and Europe, most of the working day in China and Singapore, and can schedule early-morning or evening calls for US clients.
